the pandemic series
Without the ability to connect with our colleagues due to the pandemic, we set about telling stories with the tools and talent we had available. Our need to express ourselves creatively shaped the work in this pandemic series, which inspired us to form10cent diamond and paved the way to the production of our award-winning films.
Bahada
There is nothing quite like the solitude of Palm Springs in July. Scorching heat and dry desert winds mean languid days spent lounging in a Mid-Century jewel. Indulging in the delicious pleasures of being in the Coachella Valley. Where a hard day’s work means deciding between when to jump in the pool and when to relax inside. In the film that launched 10cent diamond productions, we capture the dreamlike quality of a summer vacation during the pandemic.
Il nostro viaggio a Roma
Through the seemingly endless days of the pandemic, 10cent diamond longed for the day we could return to Rome. As travel restrictions were eased a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity presented itself – to visit our favorite city with none of the usual crowds. To share it only with Romans. We delighted in having palazzos and museos to ourselves and walking the nearly empty streets in all sorts of weather. We took in each moment literally living a dream come true.
blue monsoon
inspired by warm summer winds, wide-open spaces, fragrant desert rains and this achingly beautiful song, 10cent diamond created a timeless story of love and longing. in spartan rooms on a nameless lonesome hilltop, two lovers reignite their uncommon passion.
50th
only when one discovers a true paradise does the word become meaningful. born of fire from the ocean and refined over millions of years, the islands of hawaii surpass all measures of beauty and grandeur. for 10cent diamond, the 50th State is a place for the celebration of life and the appreciation of our moments in time. always an inspirational place, we humbly present this love letter to the big island.
Jazzdagen
after months of quarantine at home, 10cent diamond ventured out to the incomparable sequoia national park in the sierra nevada mountains of california. awaiting us was a once in a lifetime opportunity to visit this hallowed ground in all of its grandeur - with almost no one around. hiking trails and campgrounds were nearly empty. viewpoints and monuments were devoid of crowds. there were no tour busses, few cars and fewer motorhomes. many moments we felt as if we were the only people left in the world.
